I have a new MBP with SSD and how do i do a clean install of lion? Do i restore the lion installer onto a DVD, boot from the DVD, secure erase my SSD, then install lion on it?

yes, but no need to secure erase unless you are planning to sell it or something. especially with an SSD, you'll be writing unnecessarily to the drive with a secure erase.

Right. I forgot 10.6.8 and 10.7 has TRIM enabled. Thanks
