How to do the new message app things (8.3)

- Adds the ability to report junk messages directly from the Messages app
- Adds the ability to filter out iMessages that are not sent by your contacts

Does anyone know how to do either of these things in iOS 8.3? I don't see it.

Settings > Messages > Filter Unknown Senders = TRUE

When you go to Messages you have a different "tab" for messages sent to you from people not in your contacts. You can junk them directly from message.
