Hi,

I own a 3rd gen iPod Touch and iOS 5 seems to slow down my iPod. Pages are slower to flick through, cover flow is unusable and i would like to go back to iOS 4.

Firstly, does anyone know how i can go about this and secondly will it cause any problems with warrenty/illegal??

Thanks! :D

Do you have your SHSH?

If not, then NO.

If you don't know what it is, then NO.

To explain it without being a jerk like this guy.

"iOS 5.0 and later versions of iOS implement a new system that confirms the SHSH is the latest on Apple's servers every time the device is turned on, which makes it more difficult to perform a replay attack. This is because nobody outside of Apple knows their new private key that is used to confirm the SHSHes as genuine."

In otherwords, there is currently no way to use a "replay" attack in order to trick the device into "upgrading" to an older version.

Until an exploit is discovered there isn't a way to downgrade once you've upgraded.
