I read tutorial about downgrading ipad 2 if any ios 4.x blobs is available by using redsn0w.

How to downgrade from ios 7 to ios 5 without using ios 4.x blobs because my ipad 2 comes with ios 5.0.1

Ps I have ios 5.0.1 ios 5.1 and ios 5.1.1 shsh blobs available.

that's pretty wild :D

never understood this appel nonsense of making ppl run the latest ios version. why not just say 'if you are not on the latest version, no support, thanks for understanding, bye' and let people install whatever they want on the devices they paid for.

but... i digress it seems :)

I hear you on that.
If someone wants to stay or restore back to an older ios version that runs smoother and better on older hardware device they should be able to if they want.
Apple took away that in order for people to be stuck with the latest ios version to fight the JB scene.

How could they, then, force people to upgrade? By allowing for downgrading, users could for example restore iOS5 or 6, which both still worked perfectly (unlike the absolutely trashy iOS 7.1.2), on the iPhone 4. That'd mean a LOT of missing sales for Apple. No wonder they don't allow downgrading.

And the list continues with older devices rendered absolutely useless by the last major iOS version (for example, iOS4 for the iPhone3G).

and to make older devices lag so people break down and buy new $650 plus devices :D
