I’ve searched google but not sure of a legit download of iOS 12.1.1beta3 and how to do it exactly? I believe you open iTunes. Then press shift+update and point it to the beta firmware. Is that correct? If it doesn’t work what should I do? And line I asked before. What is a legit site to download the beta3/12.1beta3? Thanks a bunch!

Google ipsw
Go to site
Go home
Choose can I jailbreak?

That should help

That’s no help. Others on here said Apple is still signing 12.1.1beta3. I googled that and that’s saying that it’s not signed. Thanks anyway

What does it mean by ‘control f your device ID’? Thanks
Not sure. Maybe something to do with “find.” Maybe someone else knows more.
I only use that link to confirm that version is still signed.

BTW, why is post #5 no help?

If you cannot find out if beta 3 is still signed and you can't deduce what Ctrl+f is intended for on that page it is fair to say that you should not attempt to jailbreak anyway....

I’ve been jailbreaking for quite a while and never had to use shift f. That’s why I asked. No need to be unhelpful. I already found a legit site from another member. Thanks. Now I’m on 12.1.1beta3 on my iPhone X and will be on it on 3 of my other devices so no worries here

Well good luck on the JBing!!
I was not being unhelpful, actually the opposite, sometimes it is better to stay away, we had to help plenty of ppl here who managed to soft brick their device and lacked the skills to get out if it.

Btw the ctrl F was only to search on that page which device you have, standard windows search feature in explorer, has nothing to do with jb-ing..but of course you already understood that..right???

Did you have to set up your phone as new? I seem to remember in the past that downgrading software would not allow you to restore from backup. this is what is keeping me from downgrading my phone.

Correct, you cannot use a iTunes backup from a higher firmware on a lower firmware, iCloud BU should work though.

Can I just downgrade from 12.1.4 by using the "update" button and choosing the iOS 12.1.1 b3 ipsw, to keep my data

Someone suggested CTRL + Clicking the upgrade button and not the restore button and that will keep all of your stuff... But I'm not sure if that would work for downgrading.

I think I did try it once, and with beta it allowed it. I didn't mind starting over with messages though. I had about 6gb in the messages app.

EDIT: The only annoying thing is the pop up that says to update the beta. I can't jailbreak yet because I have the XS Max.

Yeah same here I have the XS Max... I'll give it a shot tonight. I just want to be ready for when they release the A12 JB. hopefully soon.
