Hi,
I updated to Mac OS Monetary on my 2017 MacBook Pro. However I'm unimpressed with how my battery life is going with Monterey. I could get much more with Big Sur. I've had monetary installed for about a week, so I'm pretty sure spotlight is done indexing.

I'm trying to downgrade to Big Sur from my time machine back up, but everytime I go into recovery mode and select the backup I want to restore I get the following message:
"You must use Migration Assistant to transfer data from this backup. Reinstall macOS if necessary and then use Migration Assistant to transfer data from your backup"

It then boots me back to the recovery menu.

How can I downgrade back to Big Sir, I don't even have the install media for Big Sur anymore.
