My friend has an old iPhone 3GS and the NFL app on her phone, but accidentally deleted it. Now, when she goes to the App Store it says she needs iOS 7 to download the app. She can't get iOS 7 because she has an iPhone 3GS. How can she get the old version of the NFL app that didn't require iOS 7 back on her phone?

Open the App store and press the Updates section. Press the Purchases area and then press Not on this iPhone. Look through there to see if the app is still in the list. She may be fortunate (or not). If it's not in the list then the dev has removed the iOS 6 version. The app store is currently allowing both versions to exist and you should be able to download an older version, but it's very hit and miss.

The method I just described may work though as generally the App store app remembers your exact "purchases" in that list.
