how can you download songs directly onto your iphone?? not talking about itunes. i know about dtunes, but it wont allow placing those songs into your ipod part.
 
I don't think dtunes has been updated for iOS 4. Therefore it may not be able to put songs into the iPod library.
 
There is no easy way to do this currently, The ipod.app doesn't only need to have the music file on the right directory, but it also need the inclusion of its information to the a couple of databases.

I think there was an application working on it, call xTunes, but I think at the end they gave up with that and use their own medi player as ipod.app replacement.
