I have noticed lately that those videos are being chopped on the "preferred" host down into smaller chunks for better streaming. I had a 720p video made up of 2.8 MB chunks. I was wondering what was going on until I noticed that there was a list of 2.8 MB files that made up the entire video. If you're using Safari, first try right-clicking the video to see if "Download Video" is an option. It should be if you're using the HTML5 trial.
If not, while viewing the video just click Window > Activity then identify the video in the list of elements (it will likely show something like "258K of 1.8MB" and will be the largest file on the list.
Hold the option key down and double-click the file to download.
I've seen that, as well, but if I recall, I was still able to download the complete video. Do you have a link to an example of that, so I can test and try to recall how I did it?I have noticed lately that those videos are being chopped on the "preferred" host down into smaller chunks for better streaming. I will test it out but sadly I do not recall which previous video at was. I was not using the "Download Video" context option though but the Activity log.I've seen that, as well, but if I recall, I was still able to download the complete video. I found one. I think the way I dealt with that is to use file2hd.com to download the entire video. Thanks for reminding me about those segmented videos.I will test it out but sadly I do not recall which previous video at was. Thanks, I will have to try that when I get back home. I just need to find a video I want to download though.I found one. I think the way I dealt with that is to use file2hd.com to download the entire video. Thanks for reminding me about those segmented videos.
