Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the info in About This Mac for the novelty factor, such as the name of the processor e.g. from an Intel Core i5 to a Intel Core i7 Extreme edition. I was aware of how to do this in Mavericks, but since updating to the Yosemite public beta the only thing I can work out to edit in About This Mac is the model name of the mac to a custom one. The reason why I cannot change the processor info etc is due to the fact that in system profiler, SpInfo.strings has a different layout to the file of the same name in Mavericks, as it does not have any section to enter the processor info. Does anyone know how to edit this info? If so any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
