Help! My iBook G4 has dropped dead--the hard drive is toast, and it won't boot. I had everything backed up, and I bought a shiny new Macbook Pro to replace it, so I thought all was well.

Alas, I still had a DVD in the dead iBook's drive. Does anybody have any ideas how to eject the durn thing, when the computer won't boot?

Thanks!

Well, the standard way is to hold down the trackpad button while turning it on... it doesn't need the HD to get far enough to eject the disc, but it will need at least some limited logic board functionality. So try that first.
