How to find about apps before they get the axe?

Seriously, how did any of you found and Snatched apps like Handy Light and Tether?

by the time news broke, they where already gone... haven't been able to get any of them. tough luck huh?

Is there a forum about those types of apps? don't have and won't jailbreak my iPhone.

This is neither a discussion about "Well just use Att's hotspot option" I have an unlimited data plan since the early days and its ridiculous they don't allow a tethering plan for that. I would have to downgrade to a tiered plan. I understand they believe people would abuse it.

I just need the occasional "On the run, need some wifi for a few minutes" kind of thing.

Any help appreciated.

Edit: I have apps like App Sniper and the sorts... but in what category would these app fall? *sigh*

Their mostly posted on the news pages here on MacRumors, the forums, people's Twitters, and the like. No real singular source for them.
