how to find email addresses

this is a super basic question from a new mac user.

how do i find out the email address from a web page when the link on the site automatically opens my mail app that i dont use and havent setup.

i would like to send an email from my web based mail, but cant figure out how to get the email address from a "contact us" or "mail" link on the web page.

In both Firefox and Safari, if you right mouse click (or ctr+click) on the link, there will be an option to "copy email address"
