Hi

I have lots of songs in m itunes whose names i dont have.

can someone help me from where can i get the playlist updated and get the names of the song and update my list..

thanks

You just select the songs that need names, go to the Advanced menu at the top and select "Get CD track names". If the songs are in the database their names will show up. Otherwise it's the old fashioned way - typing them all out yourself.

You could try a program called Tunatic.
I tried it some time ago, and it identified the songs I didn't have identified. For some reason, the version I tried only identified songs through the Microphone, so I had to play the song out loud and have it identify that way... It's slow, but as a last resort it works.

You can always call Kazaa. 2580 - down the middle column of your mobile - hold it to the speaker for a few seconds and it will identify almost any track known to man. I've tried it on some really obscure stuff, and it's worked every time.

Damn you! Just about to post that!

Its not called Kazzaa though, is it? Thats a P2P thing for Windows, its called Shazam.

will 'get cd track names' work for individual songs or just on a whole cd?
i have a couple of custom cd that i made years ago with a bunch of songs from different artist. this was before itunes, so i didnt plan ahead and put artist data with each song.

Most of the time it will work for individual tracks as well.

I tried this and it says:
"iTunes cannot get CD track names for songs that wer not imported using iTunes.

To allow iTunes to look for CD track names for this song, import the song again using iTunes."

These are mp3s that I imported into iTunes.
