How do you figure out which files are orphaned (so that I can delete them) in the new photos app on mac osx? Somehow it imported a ton of files that are nowhere to be seen and they are duplicates....so I can just delete them but...there are hundreds so deleting them manually is lame. Anyone know? thanks.

What do you mean orphaned files? Importing images, causes the images to be loaded into Photo's library. Are you saying that Photos imported things other then image files?

It 'can' import them to the library and yes I do have it set up that way....it did import them all to the library but it also has some duplicates that are not in the library.......they are linked to my external drive ....for some reason

I'm not sure, perhaps its due to the fact its a beta and its still a bit buggy.
