Click the Apple logo in the upper left and select About this Mac. If the Processor is 2.2 or 2.4 ... wait, you said Macbook not MBP. Well if its 2.2 its SR but if its the entry 2.0 I'm not sure how you tell. Perhaps someone else knows.

I *think* you can open the System Profiler (Apple Menu -> About This Mac -> More Info...) and look at the bus speed. If it's 800MHz, you're running the SR platform. If it's 667MHz, you're not. :)

It should be SR if purchased new then. If it's 2.2 GHz, like panzer said, it'll definitely be SR. To make sure, if it's 2.0 GHz, go to "More Info..." from About This Mac and click on the "Graphics" tab. If it says "Intel GMA X3100" at the top, then it's SR.

Edit: Beaten, but with another method. :)

Click on the apple in the upper left hand corner, then 'about this mac' then 'more info'

Give us that info. Omit the serial number.

For example, here is mine.
Model Name: MacBook
Model Identifier: MacBook3,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 1 GB
Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MB31.008D.B00
SMC Version: 1.24f2
Serial Number:
Sudden Motion Sensor:
State: Enabled

I bought mine on 12/27/07 new from an apple store. Mine is a SR macbook.

If you bought new, from apple or an authorized retailer, around the time you said, it should be an SR macbook.

we have the same numbers; yay! thanks all... i guess i have the SR MacBook then... i've just read about some threads on here and there are people who claim that those people who badly wanted to get a new MacBook these days are better off getting it until after Jan 15th...

Of course you do it says right in your signature "2.2ghz"

There is no memrom 2.2ghz processor.

gee thanks; just wasn't sure 2.2 was already SR - it didn't say anything like that on the macbook tech specs page off apple nor was it ever mentioned on the documentation that came with the box

thanks again... i'm surely going to be a regular on this forum sooner.. :)
