Hello forum

A Mac shop did offer me an used iMacPro and now I am wondering if there is way to find out the
real age of this iMac Pro. The serial number is known.

Question:
Is there a way to find out the age of this iMac?

Thank you very much for any feedback!

Bill

PS
In the times of hdd's, the hd-diagnostic tool, smartctl did "disclose" interesting infos...

One way I know of is through the Apple menu then About this Mac. On those details, you should see the iMac version including the year it manufactured/released.

Enter the Mac's serial number into the app 'CoconutID' and it will show the month and year of manufacture.
It will also tell you where on Earth the Mac was built.
This - is your best option. Cocconut ID actually doesn't need your serial number. Just launch it and it will tell you the exact day, and place it was manufactured.

That's true @Nicole1980 ! Sorry, I was thinking of the third tab where you can enter a custom serial number.
