How to fix a imac g4 lcd with water damage

I got a imac g4 for $5, but the lcd has water damage. I have no clue how to take the imac g4 lcd apart to clean it and get all the water out. I really want to get the lcd to look good, this is my first mac computer. Has anybody had this problem, if so can you help me fix it, it would be greatly appreciated.

As you say, it has water damage. You'll probably need a new LCD.

Your best bet, if the machine runs correctly, is to get a new display from a busted computer and replace the entire top assembly. The best I found was this site that offers some disassembly of the neck.
