I don't know if anyone else has encountered this problem with their iPad, but my power button is stuck and unresponsive.
I dropped it for the first time . . . well it slid off my lap and landed barely passing two feet. I caught it before the full impact, but it just happened to fall on the power button.
Now it's stuck there and I am unable to manually place the iPad in sleep mode. Everything else works fine except the fact that I can't manually reset the iPad or turn it off at will.
I've been following threads here and there and the closest thing I received as a solution was to open the iPad and fix the situation by hand. Which will basically break the hinges that hold the glass screen.
Note that I am currently on Guam, and my iPad was bought second hand from a very good friend. It would be very hard for me to send it to Apple for replacement or for them to fix it.
Any suggestions?
