I have an iPod (5th generation) with the dreaded "iPod disabled - connect to iTunes" message. I left it at a friends and he thought it was funny to keep trying wrong passwords to unlock it over and over to the point it is now disabled.

I've googled it and the only solution I've seen is to restore the iPod. I haven't backed up in a while would hate to completely restore back to factory.

Is there any way to get past this iPod disabled screen (attached)?

Thanks!
