Recently if you try to play a video or movie in the latest version of iTunes for Mojave you might be greeted with a error message especially if you own a digital projector for your home theater setup.
The error message reads:
this video requires HDCP to be enabled in order to play this movie in iTunes.
Problem your Macintosh connects via DVI or VGA and doesn't use the HDMI signal.
Well there is a fix.
Under Mojave:
1. update iTunes to the latest version if needed. restart computer
2. after restart run iTunes by clicking on the itunes dock icon.
3. once iTunes has loaded select iTunes and preferences
4. in the preferences select downloads tab.
5. DE-check the download full size HD videos and leave the SD video check box selected.
6. save and close.
now if you downloaded a video that is in hd right click that video select remove download then click the download button again and it will download the video in SD only mode perfect for home theatre projectors that don't have HDMI.
