How to force quit Apple Watch apps

Is there a way to force quit apps on the AW like you can do on iPhone?

No but if an app is unresponsive, you can press and hold the side button until the power off screen appears, and then press and hold the Digital Crown and it will quit the app and return you to your watch face.
