How to format a mini memory card

This is what i did. Went to disk utilities [as per google] and was told to click on the dropdown menu to format. This is what i see.
BTW: This little memory card is 64gb for my new Dash Cam.Do i really need to Format this card? Also It tells me to use Fat32???

Format the card to match the format used by the cam.

OP:

The info presented in the image you posted above "looks right".

Yes, you want to erase the card to fat32.
It should format/initialize in a few seconds.
Then.. try it in the dashcam and see if it works.

Exactly... once that is done select the hardware device above the volume like in my screenshot then erase to FAT32.
