How to format a partition in EXF2/EXF3/EXF4

I need to create a partition on an SD card with EXF2/3/4 file system. How can I do this in on an OSX Lion machine?
 
Boot off a Linux live CD that include GParted

OSX does not natively support those disk formats and so you cannot format a drive to exf4 (or older) within OSX
