iPod how to format windows-set 2g nanos to mac?

I got my nano but the 2G nano came in Windows-format. Now I don't know how to format the thing into Mac. iTunes got nothing.. it doesn't recognize the nano but Finder reads it (on my desktop as a default iPod icon, not nano or nothing)

EDIT: Crap just trash it. I guess I just had to reopen iTunes for it to recognize. Wasteland this crappy thread.

Windows formatting shouldn't matter. Have you upgraded to iTunes 7 yet? That's in the new nano's requirements.

[adding a bit: iPod reformatting (restore in Apple-ese) is now done through iTunes, so you need to start there.]
