How to Fwd Directions From Maps Via SMS?

Hi All, is there a way I can send Driving directions from Google Maps to a friends Phone via SMS from My 3G?? Just a Text Message with Turn by Turn he can read??

I understand that, what I'm looking to send is just a text with directions he can read, like if I want to send it to my sons Razr who doesnt have a data plan just sms..

I suppose you could take snapshot(s) of the directions, and email them to your friend. Don't know what to do if you want to send them to people w/o email on their phones, though.

If he can get picture messages you can send him the snapshots that way. Just look up what the pix message email addresses are for his carrier.

No. It's not possible.

What you can do is download the AOL AIM application, where you can send him a message as an SMS instead of an AOL screenname. I think he has to reply "a" to accept the message when you send it, but otherwise that's a good option.

His son might need the directions asap, and you might have to take 2-3 pictures to get all the directions. Either way, I'm really hoping that 3.0 is polished to the brink, that's when I'll definitely get unlimited messaging, being stuck with 200 a month seems impossible to get through!

to sms.

You have to specify how many turning you have to skip...
Then specify what direction you have to turn...

For example, What this means...

12,U,3,L,3,R

Here first skip 12 turnings...
Then make a U turn...
Then skip 3 turnings...
Then turn left...
Then skip 3 turnings ...
Then turn right...

Easy!!!
