I saw a screenshot of some ones desktop and they had a backups icon, was wondering where I find this?

Also, if you back up to an external, why do they have backups on their HD?

Im full of questions today.

Maybe that icon was for an external HDD used for backups?

Maybe you can find this screenshot again and post it here, as "backup icon" is as unspecific as it gets.

Do you by any chance mean the icon for a Time Machine HDD?

It kindve looked like that, it was different colors, though, and possibly circular. Also, it says "backups" under it. Ill try to find it.

That's just an alias to another hard drive. I don't know why you'd want to access your Time Machine drive directly, though. There's really nothing you can do there without opening the Time Machine application.

Gotcha, makes sense. Thanks guys!
