How to get a refurb from apple?

Ok so i have a 3GS and the screen cracked so i replaced the screen with one i bought on eBay but now i keep getting dirt inside right under the screen because i broke the seal....

is there something i can tell apple is wrong with the phone and they will just give me a refurb ? because one time i accidentally told the guy about what sounded like a loose part and he just gave a refurb for that

I'm afraid that it's people like you who have to think of a "fiddle" or con get something you may not be entitled to who get iPhone users a bad name.

Why not make an appointment with your local Apple Genius and, for once in your life, try being honest and tell him the truth. You may be surprised with the result!!

yea yea yea enough with your guilt trips. how about the bad things they do to us? like purposely not giving us insurance so that we have to pay a huge premium to get a new phone? and its not scamming theyre offering a refurb phone if theres something wrong with your old one for free....its merely a perk that im taking advantage of

How so? They offer AppleCare. They also offer out of warranty replacements at a fairly low cost.

i mean the phone cost 150 to make...i pay them 400 to get the phone itself and another 400 maybe more to get a replacement
