How to get an iPhone on or near launch day?

I'm a 3G owner that got it a few months after release, and I skipped the 3GS. I'm eligible to get the 4 and I want it, but this is the first time I'm interested in a day one purchase so I'm not very well versed on how well this works.

1. I know I missed pre-orders, is there any chance of getting one on the morning of or within a week of release? I don't want to camp out, but I wouldn't mind going early in the AM, if I would even have a chance by then.

2. Does it matter if I buy from Best Buy, Apple, AT&T, they all should offer me the same upgrade and pricing correct?

3. There are three people on our plan, but I'm the primary on the account, can I get phones for all three of us or must they be present?

4. Any additional tips?

If you're the primary account holder, you should be able to upgrade all of the lines. There may be a limit on the number you can buy though.

I'm pretty sure the number you can buy is a per person limit, not a per account limit.
