I have this laptop:

And it doesnt have an hdmi port. So how can i get good sound on it if i connect it to the tv via vga i can hardly hear the movie im watching from the couch. Is there a way to connect it to external speakers? Is there a speaker to speakers connector?

What ive done, is play music out of my headphone jack on my lap top to my PA system.
You would have to buy an adapter, that goes from your 1/8" headphone jack to an audio L/R RCA jacks. So you can get audio out of your laptop to any source with RCA jacks.
Also, Ive watched movies on my laptop using the same method. But I use the iPod Cable 1/8" to 1/8" that goes to your car stereo. So you can watch the movie in your car and the audio goes to your car speakers.

Hope this helps
