Face ID works with my Nike sunglasses but does not work with my Ray Bann sunglasses. Anyone know a fix around this?

Go to Settings app > Face ID & Passcode, and turn off "Require Attention for Face ID" (the text below mentions it's needed for some sunglasses)

Strange, FaceID works with one of my Ray Ban’s but not the other. Must be due to the type of lens. G20 lenses pair doesn’t work but the mirror flash does.

My polarized G20 Aviators work fine, as do all of my Oakleys (Fire Iridium Polarized, 2x Black Iridium Polarized) ... but I also have the attention thing turned off. You might want to try that.

Turn off "Require attenton for Face ID". This makes sure your eyes are open and with decent sunglasses like Ray Bans they block infrared light.

My wifes cheap prescription glasses work fine but my mirrored raybans it cant see my eyes as they filter infrared.

Turn that option off and its just as secure, works with sunnies but does mean your other half can unlock your phone while you sleep.

My Ray-Ban Wayfarers with non-polarised G-15 green lenses never worked without Require Attention turned off, but I recently had them replaced with polarised G-15 green prescription lenses and they work every time, even with Require Attention on.

try face ID with the new sunglasses and when it fails and asks for your passcode, type it in. After a few times, this will allow it to learn your new sunglasses.

When I first got my XS some sunglasses worked and some didn’t. However it learned them all in time.

It’s also to do with the UV &/or mirror coating on the lenses. Some have the coating on the front & back of the lens which can make things worse.
