I have never hooked up my ipad to my computer. My ipad has about 30 apps on it I downloaded directly to the ipad. When I hook the ipad to the computer its showing no apps in the apps list. I have clicked transfer purchases and this does nothing. How do I get the ipad apps off my ipad on to my computer. Ive tried transfered purchases ive tried synch ive tried backup. nothing seems to transfer the apps over from my ipad to my computer.

I think with app thinning it is no longer possible to transfer from the iOS device to the computer (as you don't have the parts of the app required for other devices on the iPad.)

You can go to the iTunes app on your Mac/PC, look at your purchase history, and download any you are missing. (There is an option to only view apps not downloaded to your computer.)

You can also set up iTunes to automatically download any new purchased apps for the future.
