Hey Guys,

This may be a dumb question, I am very new to iOS. How can I get all my settings, email, apps, from my iPad 2, to my new iPad next week? Is it simple? As well as my videos and what not? Is it as simple as syncing and backing up with iTunes right before I sync the new one to my macbook?

Thanks for the help everyone!

if you signed up for icloud, there should be an option to backup everything on your ipad 2 to the cloud. once you get your ipad 3, you should be able to restore everything from the cloud that backup file.

i haven't really used the cloud yet because I'd rather backup everything to my macbook. Is that still possible? To just sync and then sync the new one? Everything will be ok?

Yes. Assuming you have backed-up your iPad 2, simply choose "Restore From Backup" in iTunes when you plug in your new iPad. It will be just like your old iPad, but with a new, shiny screen. :)

Right click on your iPad in iTunes and choose to back it up, then restore from backup with your new iPad connected.
