buy a new apple product. download all iwork apps on it. return to store and bring it back :D

Agreed I really miss that.

I agree with the negativity against this post but I'm glad they took the down-vote away. It was just another way for people to get "bullied" and lowered the morale of the forum. People can say "if they get their feelings hurt from a down-vote then there is a serious problem..." But if that's the case, why do people down-vote them in the first place? To express their feelings about the topic. </pointless rant> :D

You definitely have a point, but did the forum really hound people in this way?

I'd personally be very selective with down voting as you're not going to agree with everyone. If you did, it wouldn't be much of a forum.

I'd only down vote posts that were overtly offensive to the majority or very morally questionable.

That's great but I'm pretty sure that's not how the vast majority used the down vote button.

I have an iPhone 5 updated to ios 7 and last night I downloaded all the iWork apps, iPhoto and iMovie for free. I'm honestly not sure if it was a glitch or not - I thought they'd just made them free for everyone but I realise now that's not the case.

Here's the thing - before I went looking for them in the App Store, coincidentally I did a reset -> erase all settings to try and improve my battery life. Could that be what made them free for me - did it think I was a new user? Anyone else want to try?

Back on topic. Once my iphone 5S comes, and I download the apps, can I then transfer them to iTunes like any other app, and then (if I want) instal them on my ipod touch, ipad, and iphone 4s?

If so, that is pretty awesome.....

Sure. In fact. After accepting. I have check for new purchases enabled on my Mac, so they were already waiting for me when I got home.

That's going to be great! Can't wait to become familiar with the apps. Thanks for the reply!
