How to get large Reading List Archive into Safari

I have done a clean install of 10.11 and I have copied my 500mb offline ReadingListArchives folder from my old ~/Library/Safari folder. I put in in the same folder on 10.11 and restarted Safari but it did not see it. I have looked on the internets but all discussions turn into importing bookmarks.

I just saved a page now and Safari did create a ReadingListArchives folder in 10.11 so it does go in the same place I'm just not sure how to get the copied folder to work.

Any suggestions appreciated.
