I had a wallpaper I loved. I was playing around with different wallpapers when I realized I did not know where the original wallpaper was located. I can't find it, don't know what the file is called. It's an image of an elephant, but it might have a name like 123.jpg for all I know.

Heeeelllllppppp! How do I get my previous wallpaper back?

TIA

Was it one of the stock ones?
Go to system preferences, display, wallpapers.

Wallpaper...

Unfortunately,, it was not a stock wallpaper. Is there some place or directory where OSX stores images taken from elsewhere that are used as wallpaper?

TIA

No, but you can search your computer for image files until you find it.

That, or find it again on the internet.
