There are several legal and illegal ways to get paid iPhone apps for free. But the best way to get them for free is to post a review on their app in your blog/website and contact the developer. You can track the newest free apps, updates and prices here for you iPhone and iPod Touch.

I get tons of free apps and products in gen by doing this. Key is quality reviews and then you don't even have to ask for the stuff. They ask to send it to you.
