iPod touch how to get progress bar for songs (like in itunes)

Is there a way to fastforward/rewind within an individual song. In itunes on a computer you have the progress bar and you can move to different time positions in the song. Is there a way to do this on a touch?

Tap on the album cover and and progress bar will appear. You can then drag the small dot to scrub the music forward or back.

Another way is to press and hold << or >> above the volume slider.

tap the album art and move the slider... It's in the little quick start guide that hardly explains anything.

in the now playing screen, tap the middle of the screen once it should bring up the track bar and you can move to any place in the song

Why do we cut down trees when no one reads the manual? What do you guys do when your charging up your iPod for the first time? I usually like to go in and read to see what all I can do with it.

i plugged my touch in, set it up, went to macrumors and lurked around (as i do every day) then went to sleep while it finished charging.
