I don't know what caused this to happen, but now on both netflix and Prime video when I play video and go into full screen mode, it looks fine at first, but once it 'settles' (the play and other options seen at first click fade away to just leave the video) a very thin light is appearing at the top and bottom of the screen and it's very annoying.
The light is also not the same each time; it's always a very thin line on top and bottom, but it's not a straight line of light all the way across; it's randomly broken up across the line differently each time.
I am on a Mac mini, newest model and using the Chrome browser. I know I could try other browsers but I only ever use Chrome and it'd be a big hassle to use another browser just for video. My temporary solution right now is to zoom in on the Mac the smallest amount once the video settles (I think 5%) and just watch it slightly zoomed in which puts the light strips on top and bottom out of view but can be annoying if things like text at the bottom or sometimes important things in the video happen at the very edges.
This actually happened to me before too a few years ago and I can't for the life of me remember how I fixed it, but I know there is some way and I just can't figure it out and I'm pretty sure it's a computer issue and not a netflix or prime video issue, so I thought to ask here.
