I installed this a year or two ago so i wouldnt get charged data since i didnt have it.

now everytime i restore my phone and added the new tmobile settings it would show up as FAKE APN on the data settings and i had to manually enter the tmobile apn.

anyone know how to remove this from the iphone 4? ive tried everything.

Yes, but i have to unless i want to lose everything on my phone like contacts, texts, and everything.

its not an issue really since i have all the settings set up right now

The only way I know to get rid of it would be to do a clean restore. If you want to keep text, and contacts(etc) try this software called Phoneview for the iPhone. It will back up your info. You need to back the info up first then do a clean restore. After doing the restore just transfer the backed up info in Phoneview. I purchased it like 4 years ago for $20 and it works like a charm.

Download iFile or iExplorer and navigate to /private/var/Managed Preference/mobile and delete the com.apple.managedCarrier.plist file.

What exactly the devil are you doing that requires periodic restore?

Simple: Change it to what you want, then IMMEDIATELY do a backup. Now the recent backup has your new setting.

ive done that, theres a bug from long ago that doesnt let you delete the profile unless you do a clean restore and dont do a back up.

ive backed up with the new settings and when i reboot it will show up the old fake APN

looked on google, think i might i have fixed it. used another program and delete the file from a backup and reset the phone.

which program did you use ?? I have the same problem and i dont even have a jailbroken phone can you pleassse help ???:(:(:(:):):confused:
