This gray bar that I have a picture attached, is in Safari, whenever I scroll over a link it shows the URL. I can't remember how I got it there... how do I get rid of it?

Click on View in the Safari window and select hide status bar

Nuc

Edit: or do as Lone Deranger says.

You don't want to know what link you're about to click on?

yeah, thats what im thinking too, w/o knowing the link address, u might get to phishing site, and safari currently doesn't have any anti-phishing function.

Yeah, I need to have my status bar just to see what the website is currently doing, I'd be lost without it :p

No but apparently he does :D

I do... the one gripe I have with having the dock of the bottom, is that it really makes the webpage tiny... I redid my desktop so that the dock is on the side... I also find the gray bar unattractive. I don't use this make for any credit card transactions, and there are no sensative passwords (except eBay, and Macrumors :D) But I'm not too worried about phising, the only websites I use are political blogs, and of course Drudge Report... You know, I'm a future Congressman, I need to keep informed, and be able to solidify my debating skills with facts, which I do well.

Well that was off topic, and very pompous sounding... Sorry, I just know myself... ///rant
