iPad how to get sms gv extension working on the new ipad 3 ios 5

i use this to text for free using my Google voice number

if you download the sms gv exntension from cydia to your ipad it will not work, because it was made for the iphone

but with a simple ssh it will work

first install sms gv extension from cydia

now you can do this with ifile

navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app

and find the J1AP.PLIST file

And in the capabilities section add

<key>sms</key>
<true/>

now respring

thats it

sms gv extension should now work on your ipad 3 running ios 5


i use this with bitesms to get quick reply & compose for my google voice number

u also need the official google voice app for push notifications, thats free

So bite sms integrates google voice into your native messaging app now? Since when?

Also, I'm pretty sure more people have google voice numbers than what's app installations, considering what's app doesn't give you your own number to make calls to and from any phone with.

just downloaded and installed bitesms. It does not work with google voice. I have to have google voice to save my texts for work.
