Hello All,

I decided to start working on my project to import video from my Mini DV camcorder and edit it + burn using iMovie and iDvD.

I am new to this so i need to know what will i need to get the video off my camera and into my iMac. below are some pictures of my camcorder. i Do not have any kind of video capturing hardware plugged into the camera, and i would like to do this with out having to spend to much money. The Camera model number is GR-D32U Please advice.

I read in some sites that i can connect it using DV to firewire? I want to make sure before i go make any purchase. Thanks Much.

A 6-pin to 4-pin Firewire cable is all you need. Plug the 6-pin end to the computer and the 4-pin end into the i-Link/DV port on the camera. Open iMove, set it to recieve video, then hit play on the camera.
