I'm running iOS12 (beta) on my 7Plus and like it, except for one thing I can't figure out. Before I updated, I could double tap my home key to make the icons on screens go down so I could see the wallpaper I used. Now, if I double tap, the whole thing goes down and I see a gray screen above the wallpaper filled with icons. Am I missing something here?

While I'm asking, does anyone know if there is any way to either move or reduce the size of the time on the lock screen? Thanks!

That’s a design tweak for Reachability in iOS 12. The feature isn’t intended for you to see your wallpaper; it’s to bring the top of the screen down to make it easier to reach icons/controls/etc. when using the device with only one hand.

No, there’s not.

On 8+ the screen goes down and the wallpaper in the background shows, just darkened.
Thanks! :)
