Hi there. I have my macbook pro linked up to my tv via a dvi -> VGA lead, it all works fine but i cant for the life of me get it in native widescreen, either miooring the desktop or as an extension. The only way I can get it close to widescreen is to stretch it, but this distorts the ratio, so im using it in boring old 4:3. Is there a way to get full 16:9(10) with VGA out on a second screen?

Thanks guys

Mark

You should be able to get the display preferences to display all resolutions, not just the ones it thinks the screen can handle.

My TV wouldn't show video when connected to my PowerBook, then I read that the TV was only capable of showing certain resolutions via VGA. None of these resolutions were widescreen.

ah man what a pleb I am, I didnt see the other bloody resolutions further down the screen! I found one that nearly fills my screen in native widescreen with small boarders around the edges, i can live with that though.

Thanks!
