~ Banner ads. I can't for the LIFE OF ME think of ANYONE that actually CLICKS on a banner ad
~ Static backgrounds. This one is a matter of opinion, but I find pages with static backgrounds are hard to read while scrolling
~ Bright turquoise backgrounds
~ Use the <blink> and <marquee> tags like there is no tomorrow
~ Use that dammed .php5 extension
~ FRAMES
~ Requires IE? Get the hell of the internet.
~ 100% flash-based site
~ The following:

Yeah. God, is there anything more annoying and misguided than that? It wasn't even clever in 1996, I can't for the life of me work out why people still do it.

Here's another: Endlessly repeated key phrases on the home page in a lame attempt to get a good search engine ranking.

Use LOTS of script fonts

I really hate when people build an entire site in tables.

ummm I dislike gigantic images that are put into thumbnails, so I have to wait for a huge image to load into a tiny square.

Another pretty annoying thing is when html spills out of a page. Like a tag isn't closed properly and the page is all messed up because of it.
