How to hide folders?

I would like to hide the iTunes folder in my music folder, could this be done in mac?

I would like to hide the iTunes folder in my music folder, could this be done in mac?

It's possible, but I would strongly advise against doing so - iTunes might not like it all that much.

 

[rm -rf /*]

To hide anything in *nix, you just need to put a . before the folder or file. An example is, .hidemyducks. This would hide your folder and to find it again, in terminal, navigate to the proper directory and type ls -la. I haven't tested this with iTunes if that's what you're really hiding.
