Doesn't it have USB ports? You definitely can't use Thunderbolt on a 2012 Mac Pro and this interface doesn't have FireWire.

Thanks for the reply. I just thought there maybe a way. Plan B is using USB. Is it better to use a USB port on the MacPro or can I use a PCIe USB card ?

You should follow whatever recommendations MOTU has, but the built in port is probably fine.
