How to I go the place in iTunes where I mark which music I want to sync?

I was on that page but clicked something and went to the music library in iTunes and can't find my way back to the place where I choose what apps and songs to sync.

Are you talking about syncing with your iPod/iPhone/iPad? If so, click on the device then look towards the top row and you will see the options for music, movies etc.. and there you can click on which things to sync.

Yes for iPhone. I don't see the device. I think I did see the device and first and that's how I got to the sync page but can't see it right now.

BTW I'm using Windows.

You should see a listing of devices and playlists etc.. on the left hand side. If you don't see that, go up to View and press show sidebar.

Can you post a screenshot? You also need the device connected either by WiFi or a USB cable for them to appear. I know you're on Windows, but you should still see something like this:
