Have a Mac Pro. I placed a new internal 2nd drive in the bay. How do I get the system to recognize it, so I can use it as an extension of the primary leopard OS X ? or as storage? Need I purchase a raid card for this. Reply also to johnhoskins08@comcast.net.:)

Shouldn't it just mount like an external drive? If not, use Disk Utility to format it...

The only drive I didn't have show up with a prompt to initialize it turned out to be DOA. It wouldn't spin up but would sit there making low clicking sounds.
